ABOUT THE FARGO-ST. CLOUD PROJECT
The Fargo-St. Cloud 345 kV transmission line project will connect a new Bison Substation west of Fargo to an existing switching station near Alexandria and a new Quarry Substation near St. Cloud. The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission approved a Route Permit application for a route in Minnesota.
NORTH DAKOTA REGULATORY PROCESS
The North Dakota Public Service Commission (ND PSC) requires three permits – a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN), a Certificate of Corridor Compatibility (CCC) and a Route Permit. The CapX2020 utilities were granted a CPCN on January 12, 2011 from the ND PSC. A joint CCC/Route Permit application was filed October 3, 2011.
For more information about the North Dakota regulatory process, please contact the NC PSC at www.psc.state.nd.us or (701) 328-2400.
