Bemidji-Grand Rapids 230 kV transmission line project approved route
The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission
(MN PUC) granted a Route Permit for the Bemidji-Grand
Rapids 230 kilovolt (kV) transmission line
project on October 28, 2010. The MN PUC approved
a route that follows a combination of two route
alternatives proposed in the Route Permit application.
Construction began in mid 2011 and is expected to be complete in 2012..
