Federal Regulatory Filings

There are primarily two permitting and approval processes that involve federal agencies for the CapX transmission line proposals.  Some of the CapX partners will be seeking loans from the Department of Agriculture’s Rural Utility Service.  In addition permits are required by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers before transmission lines can cross major Rivers.  Before any permits or approvals can be granted by federal agencies, an Environmental Impact Statement is prepared.
